Press Release 2000-14 Premier Healthcare Representatives to Hold Public Meetings in Flagstaff Oct. 11

Representatives of Premier Healthcare of Arizona, which went into receivership last Nov. 16, will hold public meetings in Flagstaff on Oct. 11 to provide information on how to file claims for services provided prior to the HMO’s collapse.
Information packets have been mailed to more than 75,000 potential claimants, including former enrollees and providers, explaining the process for filing pre-receivership claims. The deadline for filing these claims, as set by Maricopa County Superior Court, is Dec. 29, 2000, at 5 p.m.
Although the information packets are self-explanatory, Charles R. Cohen, director of the Arizona Department of Insurance and the Receiver for Premier, is taking the additional step of scheduling meetings throughout the state to provide the public with assistance in understanding the claims process and filling out the claim forms.
Meetings in Flagstaff will be Oct. 11, at City Hall Council Chambers, 211 W. Aspen Ave.
8:30 a.m., for providers.
10:30 a.m., for enrollees, employers, other claimants.
